Thank you God for good health

Ever since Wolf came back from Turkey last week, he has been sick. Since the last five days he has fever and upset stomach and lies in bed. Most probably the virus came along with the food and water for free. The last time I remember him being sick with fever was in Dec 1996.

In his many travels around the world he is privileged to experience all sorts of life style. He has traveled by foot, by overloaded boats, to economy class airplanes. he easily adopts any accommodation, from billion stars to five star hotels, and oh the food! (I honestly pray to God not to send me as a missionary to certain places, just because of the food!). Most of the time he gets to eat normal food though.

I want to take time to thank God for his goodness throughout our lives. Some of our colleagues risk their lives to death, are in chains, beaten up, live hidden for the sake of the gospel, with little or no provision, in countries where the gospel cannot be preached so freely. As Wolf lies sick in bed we could only thank God for his protection, provision, love and for the good health and help that he showers on us all the time. And how often we have taken things for granted and have forgotten to thank God!

Here is a trustworthy saying:

If we died with him, we will also live with him; if we endure, we will also reign with him.

If we disown him, he will also disown us;

if we are faithless, he will remain faithful, for he cannot disown himself. 2Ti 2:11-13

  1. We’re sorry to hear that Wolf has been ill, but agree with you Mercy to turn this into thanksgiving. Here’s praying that he is recovered by the time you read this and that you all had a blessed Christmas.

      Thanks for praying. He feels better now except for the cough that wants to stay a little longer with him. We had a nice simple Christmas celebration here with the family and met with friends in the UK.
